The Payroll Report is a tool for calculating commissionable revenue and total commissions for your technicians. It provides a detailed breakdown of earnings from all completed jobs within a specified date range.

The report's calculations are based on two fundamental rules to ensure accuracy and fairness:

1. "Affects Payroll" Flag: It only includes revenue from services and products that were flagged to "Affects Payroll" in the system.
2. Historical Data Lock: All calculations use the historical payroll percentage that was set at the moment the product was added to the job. This prevents subsequent changes to product settings from altering past payroll records, ensuring transparency.

Weekly Payroll Summary

• Week [Date]: The report dynamically creates a column for each week in your selected date range. The value represents the technician's total Payroll Revenue for that specific week.

Payroll Revenue Breakdown (by Role)

This section details the source of a technician's commissionable revenue, separating their work as a job's leader versus a helper.

• (As Leader) Booked Revenue: The commissionable value of pre-booked services for jobs where this technician was the leader.
• (As Leader) Add-On Revenue: The commissionable value of services upsold during the job (add-ons) where this technician was the leader.
• (As Helper) Booked Revenue: The commissionable value of pre-booked services for jobs where this technician was a helper.
• (As Helper) Add-On Revenue: The commissionable value of services upsold during the job (add-ons) where this technician was a helper.

Note: Tips are not included in these revenue figures, even if flagged for payroll. There is also a specific company feature ('100% Upsell for Estimates') that may cause the (As Leader) Booked Revenue to be zero on jobs converted from estimates.

Commission & Payout Calculation

• Payroll Revenue: The technician's total commissionable revenue, summing all "As Leader" and "As Helper" revenue amounts.
• Booking Commission: The final dollar amount of commission earned from all booked revenue.
• Add-On Revenue Commission: The final dollar amount of commission earned from all add-on revenue.
• Tip Amount: The total value of all tips received by the technician. Note: This is based on the date the tip was created, not the appointment date.
• Raving Fan
• Total Commission: The sum of Booking Commission + Add-On Revenue Commission. This is the technician's total commission payout before tips or other bonuses.

Additional Financial Data

• Tax
• Cost: The total cost of goods/products used by the technician on their jobs, regardless of payroll flags. This is not factored into the commission totals but is provided for profitability analysis.
