How do I get to Alternate Pricing in Zr Ware?
Admin > Products and Services > V2 > Products and Services > Alternate Prices
This tab will only show up if you have permission to View and Edit Alternate prices. As this feature is in a beta test, only a select number of users currently have this permission. This page will show any existing alternate prices you have set up. If you haven't set any up, nothing will show up.
How do I set up Alternate Pricing?
In Admin > V2 Products and Services > Alternate Prices, click on Actions > Add Alternate Pricing.
1. Choose a Price Type
- A Price Type is a type to define the default price change. It includes the description. If the type has a lock symbol next to it, this means you can no longer make changes to this Price Type.
- Price Types are created in the backend. Send in a support ticket if you need additional Price Types.
2. Choose what services you want the alternative price on.
- To do this, click on one of the descriptions for the service. This is required to remind users in bases who have pricing in their descriptions to update their descriptions with the alternate pricing. After you are done, you will see the row turn green or orange. Green means that after you save, a new alternate price will be created for this product/service. Orange means that an existing alternate price exists on this product/service already and clicking save will override it.
3. Contact support to have your group of alternate pricing turned on in the online booker. This can be done with A/B testing.
How do I edit an Alternate Price?
On the Alternate Prices screen, click the edit icon.
This will take you to a screen where you can edit the alternate price.
What does it look like in the Application?
Edit Booking Screen
Most likely scenarios in which a CSR might see this banner and icon are:
Scenario 1:
- A customer starts a booking online, adds at least one item to their cart that uses alternate pricing.
- Customer abandons the process.
- CSR reaches out to customer after reviewing the Dashboard > Online Reservations.
- CSR Proceeds to convert the partial online booking to an actual booking. They would see that prompt in the image.
Scenario 2:
- A customer books online having selected at least one item with alternate pricing.
- A CSR opens the "Edit booking" view for whatever reason.
Technician Application
If a customer books a job online that uses alternate pricing, the Technicians will see a warning icon when they first open the job in the tech app.
When the booking screen or technician app is in this state, when they search to add additional services to the booking, the name of the service will use the alternate price name and value. This is to stay consistent with the pricing.
Reporting that includes the name of the product or service will have seperate lines for the alternate pricing product/service.
Example of reports that have this:
- CSR Revenue by Service
- CSR Revenue by Service by Date Booked
- Franchise Revenue by Service
- Tech Revenue by Service
- Tech Revenue by Service with Branches
