Setting up your payment processing requires two main phases: creating your dedicated Square account and linking it directly to your Zr Ware CRM.
Phase 1: Create Your Square Account
Before starting, ensure you have your franchise's federal tax ID (EIN) and business bank account details handy.
1. Sign Up via the Zerorez Portal
Navigate to the Zerorez Square Sign-Up Link to ensure your account is tied to the partner program. Click Get Started to begin.
Pro Tip: Always use your official franchise business email to create the account. This will be your primary login and where all account notifications are sent.
2. Verify Your Email
Check your inbox for a verification email from Square, click the link, and return to the setup page.
Pro Tip: If you don't see the email within a few minutes, check your Spam or Junk folder. You can also click "Resend" on the Square signup page.
3. Enter Your Business Details
Square will ask for specific business and legal information. To ensure smooth processing, use the following standardized entries:

Crucial Note: Your Legal Business Name and EIN must match your IRS records exactly. Mismatches are the most common cause of account activation delays.
4. Personal Identity Verification
Square is required by law to verify the identity of account holders. You will need to provide the Full Legal Name of the franchise owner, Date of Birth, Home Address, and the last 4 digits of the owner's SSN.
Security Note: Square uses bank-level encryption to protect your personal information. This data is required for federal KYC (Know Your Customer) compliance and is never shared.
5. Link Your Bank Account
This is where Square will deposit your funds from transactions (typically within 1 - 2 business days). Choose your preferred method (Instant Verification via login or Manual Verification via routing/account numbers) and enter your details.
Pro Tip: Link your franchise business bank account, not a personal account. This ensures clean bookkeeping and compliance with your franchise agreement.
6. Explore Your Square Dashboard
Congratulations! Your Square account is now created. You'll be taken to your Square Dashboard, which is the command center for your Zerorez franchise. Here are the key areas to familiarize yourself with:

Phase 2: Connect Square to Zr Ware
Before you begin this phase, you need two things in place:
Zerorez Support Activation: Your Zr Ware system must have the Square feature turned on. If you do not see Admin > Square in your menu, the feature is off. Please contact Zerorez corporate support to have them enable it.
Admin Permissions: You must have the
square company setuppermission enabled under your Franchise Admin profile to access the integration page.
1. Navigate to Square Settings
Log into Zr Ware and navigate to Admin > Square. You will see fields for a "Secret" and "ID" — these are system-wide credentials provided by Zerorez, so you can leave them exactly as they are.
2. Initiate the Connection
Click the Connect to Square button. You will be automatically redirected away from Zr Ware and into Square's secure login portal.
3. Authorize Zr Ware
Log in using the business email and password you created in Phase 1. You will see a permission screen asking to grant access to Zr Ware. Click Allow.
4. Assign Your Location
Square will automatically route you back to Zr Ware, which will now show as "Connected." Click Edit, select your franchise location from the dropdown menu, and click the Floppy Disk icon to save your settings.
Congratulations! Your integration is complete and you are now ready to take payments through Zr Ware. We recommend creating a test job and doing a $1 transaction test to make sure everything is working. You can refund that $1 after and send in a support ticket to Zr Ware support to have that test job removed.
