This document outlines the process for designating commercial clients as tax-exempt within Zr Ware®. Please note that tax exemption status can only be applied to Commercial client profiles.
Steps to Designate a Client as Tax-Exempt:
- Navigate to or create a new Commercial client profile within Zr Ware®.
- Click the cog icon located in the top right-hand corner of the client's profile page.
- Select "Change Tax-exempt Status" from the dropdown menu.
- Check the "Tax-exempt status" box in the dialog window.
- Click "Confirm" to save the changes.
Steps to Remove Tax-Exempt Status from a Client:
There are two methods to remove the tax-exempt designation:

Method 1:
- Click the cog icon located in the top right-hand corner of the client's profile page.
- Select "Change Tax-exempt Status" from the dropdown menu.
- Uncheck the "Tax-exempt status" box in the dialog window.
- Click "Confirm" to save the changes.

Method 2:
- Locate the red "Tax Exempt" icon displayed next to the client's name on their profile page.
- Click on this red icon. This will directly open the "Change Tax-exempt Status" dialog.
- Uncheck the "Tax-exempt status" box.
- Click "Confirm" to save the changes.
Customer Visibility:
While clients will not see any specific visual indicators of their tax-exempt status within their portals or communications, they will observe a "0" value displayed on the tax line items of their User Invoice Links and Invoices.
Zr Ware® User Visibility:
The following areas within Zr Ware® will visually indicate a client's tax-exempt status (for internal users):
